The Belgian Travel Blog Awards is an annual event since 2018. It is organised by, a marketing & sales agency specialised in travel PR and trade. And the nominees are...

The nominees of the seventh edition of the Belgian Travel Blog Awards have been announced. The desire for travel in 2023 has once again resulted in a record number of entries with no less than 350 blog stories, social posts, travel videos and photos submitted - a remarkable 17% increase over the 2023 edition, also a record year.


The expert jury, this year consisting of Lien Verwimp (Daymaker), Annemie Decommer (Atout France), Pieter Hens (Visit Oostende) and Paulien Putman (Caudalie), was tasked with assessing all the cases to determine the nominees and final winners.


In addition, the general public will also get a chance to cast their vote for the Audience Choice Award. You can vote for your favorite travel blogger until Sunday, Feb. 25, by clicking this link. The winners will be announced during a smashing award show on March 16 at the Casino Kursaal in Ostend.

We are happy to announce that the Belgian Travel Blog Awards 2024 will take place in Ostend, the biggest and most popular coastal city of Belgium. Ostend is a a vibrant city with a rich cultural offer, known for its stunning architecture and impressive museums. In 2024, Ostend will also celebrate the life of renowned Ostend artist James Ensor with numerous fun activities and events, which creates all the more reason to pay the city a visit. Lien Verwimp is the co-founder of Daymaker, a travel search engine that collects content creators, their trips and travel companies in one place. By linking them all to interest tags, Daymaker matches people only to relevant advice. Furthermore, Lien has been travel journalist at Chapeau Magazine for years, and has helped a Chinese travel start-up with their expansion to Europe.

Pieter Hens

Pieter Hens is Manager of Marketing & Events at Toerisme Oostende vzw. With more than 15 years of experience in this position, it is an understatement to say that he has done his bit for the positive winds blowing in Ostend. Marketing, communication, social media, events and strategy are just some of the core tasks of this creative jack-of-all-trades. In the development of innovative projects, he and his team develop more than 20 projects throughout the year.

Paulien Putman

Paulien Putman is a no-nonsense, positive PR professional with a passion for creative brand communication, a sucker for inspiring stories, and she loves connecting people. She has been working for Caudalie as PR Manager for the Benelux market for 2.5 years has taken the visibility of the brand to an even higher level, increasing the network of content creators and strengthening relationships, as well as attracting the right partnerships and setting up fun events. 

Annemie Decommer

Annemie Decommer is head of press and public relations at Atout France Belgium, the agency for the touristic promotion of France. She works with content creators and French tourism offices to highlight the best of France and it’s overseas aereas, and freelances in short and long copy on a variety of topics.
